GstarCAD Point Cloud is a powerful add-on module for GstarCAD, integrated with the Undet Point Cloud plugin. It enables engineers and surveyors to import scan data from any laser scanner or drone, manage and visualise point clouds at full density inside GstarCAD, and extract accurate 2D and 3D drawings — all within the same CAD environment.
Supported formats include E57, LAS, LAZ, RCP/RCS, FLS, PTX, PLY, and many more — so scan data from any scanner brand works immediately. Automatic feature extraction detects walls, planes, and openings from the cloud, and the Floor Plan module generates as-built drawings from horizontal slices in minutes.
GstarCAD Point Cloud is available as a separate module with perpetual or annual subscription licensing — a practical choice for engineering and surveying offices that work with as-built documentation, renovation projects, or infrastructure surveys.

Detect and extract walls, planes, columns, and openings from point cloud data automatically. Auto Line recognises wall lines from a 3D scan with a single click and creates continuous polylines effortlessly.
As-built floor plans from horizontal sections
The Floor Plan module generates as-built drawings by slicing the point cloud at any floor level. View floors, ceilings, and sections independently — draw directly on the slice with automatic layer management.
Meshing, draping & 3D visualisation
Create meshes from point cloud surfaces, close holes, and erase unwanted faces. Drape imagery onto meshes, navigate the scan in panoramic browser view, and apply clipping boxes to isolate any area of interest.
Fully integrated inside GstarCAD
GstarCAD Point Cloud runs as a dedicated tab inside GstarCAD. All standard GstarCAD drawing and modify commands work alongside the point cloud tools — produce finished CAD drawings without switching applications.
