Aplitop TcpMDT is a leading civil engineering and surveying solution that runs directly inside GstarCAD. It gives surveyors, civil engineers, and road designers a complete modular toolset — from terrain modelling and contour generation to horizontal and vertical road alignment, earthworks calculations, and field stakeout — all without leaving their CAD environment.
Available as Standard and Professional editions, TcpMDT scales from basic topographic work to complex infrastructure projects. The Professional version adds road design, typical sections, volume reports, network design, point cloud processing, and full OpenBIM integration with IFC and LandXML.
A perpetual licence is available for GstarCAD — an affordable, professional-grade choice for engineering offices that want serious surveying and civil design capability inside their existing CAD platform. Aplitop is also available for other CAD platforms.
Terrain modelling & contour generation
Import survey data from total stations or GNSS receivers, build digital terrain models, and generate contour lines automatically. Calculate volumes, produce slope maps, and visualise terrain in 3D.
Road design & alignment (Professional)
Design horizontal and vertical alignments, draw typical cross-sections, calculate earthworks and slopes, and produce full area and volume reports — for roads, housing developments, quarries, and more.
Surveying, networks & stakeout
Process total station observations, calculate point coordinates, compensate traverses and networks, and perform field stakeout. Supports coordinate reference systems with worldwide coverage and global or local transformations.
Point clouds, IFC & OpenBIM
Insert point clouds, create meshes from LiDAR and LAS/LAZ files, and integrate with OpenBIM workflows. Exchange data in IFC and LandXML formats for seamless collaboration with BIM project teams.
